ZAMU, Zaandam

The ZAMU Museum, just 9 km north of Amsterdam Central Station, is gearing up to open its doors, bringing a fresh and cultural hotspot to life. Spread across 16 historic industrial buildings, each space is dedicated to a single artist, showcasing works from iconic 20th-century creators and contemporary visionaries.

Fenix Museum, Rotterdam

The Fenix Museum, sited in a restored 1920s harbour warehouse, will tell the story of migration through the prism of contemporary art. Ma Yansong, of the Beijing-based architects MAD, has created the 16.000 sq. m space, which includes a double-helix structure called the Tornado.

ARoS, Aarhus

Get ready for ARoS 2.0, featuring James Turrell’s monumental Dome—set to be the largest Skyspace ever within a museum.

The expansion doesn’t stop there! A new public art square and an underground gallery will provide a fresh stage for contemporary commissions, making Denmark’s only space dedicated to groundbreaking works in film, video, installation, and performance by artists at pivotal moments in their careers.

PoMo, Trondheim

An Art Nouveau former post office in the centre of Trondheim, Norway, will open as PoMo: a contemporary museum with a 60% focus on women artists. Its contents will come from the private art collection of the retail magnate Ole Robert Reitan and his wife, Monica. Artists in the collection include Louise Bourgeois, Anne Imhof and Katharina Fritsch. It will hold two temporary exhibitions a year.
