sold outLife feels better with a Negroni in hand, and this rings especially true for Kate Pincus-Whitney’s work “They Say I Have Your Eyes”. Pincus-Whitney’s works reimagine the storytelling power of food. Her fleshy brushstrokes – from the dripping jug to the glistening Campari to the chunky artichokes – create “feminist, maximalist, and unapologetically colorful” works. Kate’s tablescapes take us through the art ages, weaving together Tom Wesselman’s American approach to still life, Judy Chicago’s feminist take on dining, and Matisse’s ability to make juxtaposing colors vibrate. She gives us historical cues and sparks cultural associations, while inviting us to sit at the table with her.
