Marres | Alejandro Galván

Having grown up amidst the violence and corruption of one of Mexico’s largest working-class areas, Nezahualcóyotl, Alejandro Galván has been tasked with painting the entirety of Marres with his mural-like, mythologised paintings of a lost history of his home town.

Kasteel Wijlre estate, founded by Jo and Marlies Eyck, beautifully blends contemporary art and nature around the castle in Wijlre.
Based between Benin and Amsterdam, Thierry Oussou’s art celebrates the profound bond between humans and nature, promoting an inclusive and non-hierarchical connection with the world around us. The exhibition is complete with a site-specific sculpture, made of natural materials from the surrounding area in the gardens of the estate.
Street Art in Maastricht
Maastricht might bring to mind images of antiquity and cultural, architectural masterpieces – but that’s not all! Take a tour through the street art scene, which has its origins in the punk movements of the 70s and 80s, trickling from the turbulent Randstad towards the Catholic South.
