Iván Argote | The High Line

For the fourth High Line Plinth commission, Argote presents “Dinosaur”, a massive, hyper-realistic, hand-painted aluminium pigeon that humorously challenges traditional monuments by elevating the everyday New York City bird to heroic status, towering 21 feet above 10th Avenue and reversing the usual power dynamic between bird and human.

Glenn Ligon | The High Line

A newly constructed billboard features a striking neon work derived from the artwork America, where most of the letters are crossed out, leaving only the word me, symbolising the complex relationship between the individual and society in the U.S. and highlighting a shift towards self-centeredness—provoking thought on the balance between personal identity and community.

Olafur Eliasson | Times Square

Olafur Eliasson takes over famous advertising screens, and turns Times Square into a blur.  Eliasson attempts to slow things down, swapping 92 screens with high-definition ads, for a blurry, reflective video piece called Lifeworld.

‘Collection in Focus’ is a brand new series of exhibitions highlighting artists from the Guggenheim collection. This fall, the series will be launched with the bold primary colours of modern art revolutionary, Piet Mondriaan.

Departing from Balthus’s 1933 painting ‘The Street’, Scottish painter Peter Doig has brought together an assemblage of works depicting working life and urbanism – including artists like Jean Hélion, Mark Rothko, Francis Bacon, and more.

Park Seo-Bo | White Cube

The ‘Newspaper Ecriture’ paintings are Park Seo-Bo’s last artistic adventure before his passing in 2023. Created on old newspaper pages, they cleverly mix the dates of the papers with Park’s energetic oil paint strokes, weaving a playful link between time and creativity.
